Welcome to the Intellectual Property Law Program
Once considered an esoteric specialty, intellectual property rights are now among the most highly-publicised, controversial, and dynamic areas of the law. Intellectual property lies at the heart of technological change, and accordingly, it confronts profound challenges. The Intellectual Property Law Program at UBC seeks to offer students, graduates, researchers, and scholars an outstanding opportunity for the study of current intellectual property issues. The program is informed by the ideal of studying intellectual property in context, and advocates an approach that is international, interdisciplinary, and socially aware
