Lutz is currently an associate in the Vienna office of the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which he joined in September of 2006. He is a member of the IP/IT Practice Group at Freshfields and provides legal advice primarily in the areas of intellectual property and unfair competition litigation. Lutz is a graduate of the University of Vienna, and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. In 2005, he was granted a scholarship from the Graduate Programme for Information Law and completed his doctorate at the University of Vienna. Lutz has been a research assistant at the Austrian Institute for IT Law, a researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for European Law, and both a teaching and research assistant at the University of Vienna. Lutz has published articles on E-Commerce Law, Moral Rights, and European Anti-Trust Law.
